Ang TV

Yan ang bagong TV namin. Nakabili din ako sa wakas. 'Di na ako magtitiyaga sa patay-sinding TV ng uncle ko. It was a perfect time to see it in the sala coz I will never miss another PBA show like that of qualifying day of my fave team. It is as big as the old one that it perfectly fitted to its spot.

One reason why the boob box personally win me is because it has Eco mode. Eco is my mother's maiden surname and it makes me a little proud of it being used. I found out that when the TV is in Eco mode, it will use up less energy, hence, a little way of helping the Mother Earth. When you choose that mode, the TV does not emit too much radiation as that of dynamic, personal and other modes, hence, it is advisable to even turn off the lights when watching during nighttime.

Its surround-on- and-off feature was, not to mention, a factor I considered as it provides me the dolby-like sound when I play vcds. I feel like I'm on a theater because of the surround sound.

As I discover more of its features, I want to give him/her a name --- and what will be the gender (to avoid confusion on pronoun)?

I'll ask my sister tomorrow what will be her suggestions. But, I'm thinking of naming him, Eco. hmmmm...=)

Eating Like There's No Tomorrow

ately, there were few friends and colleagues who claimed that I am getting fat. One office mate even said, "Rod, lumalaki tiyan mo." Out of my dismay, i just quipped, "kakakain ko lang po kasi."

Tama nga yata sila sa pagsasabing nakakataba daw magtrabaho sa IT. So, to prove it, there is no way for me to miss posting these :

January 5: At LWA canteen, I filled my belly with sinigang na baka + 2rice + coke-in-can for lunch. (JP, Pau, Donald, Kiko and moi)

January 6: Two rice too together with a pork adobo and a C2 Apple. (this time I was with Mickey, Frankie, Donald, Kiko, and Rommel)

January 7: A T-Bone steak lunch makes me not forget of my first visit in the SteakMD in Katipunan. My office mate almost killed us with his joke-cracks as he try to make pa-cute to the waitress. haha (Attendance: Ms. Joy S., JP, Rommel, Franklin, Ate Vi, Ate Amy, and moi)

January 8: Fresh from the meeting, the IMS people escaped to the Snackaroo in near cor. Kalayaan and supplied our stomachs with the special porterhouse steak. It was already 1pm when we answered the call of hunger. (IMS - jingo- dani + Ms. Janice)

January 9: I ordered liver steak for lunch but then the canteen-er said it was already sold out so I decided to eat Liempo instead. I guess, it fitted my stomach better than the steak. (Lunch at the office that time)

January 10: My sister prepared me a green-leafy veggies for lunch. Hmmm... the best for the week.

Say whatever you want--- Tumataba, lumalaki ang tiyan, matakaw etcetera. I daresay, it's not only the food that make us healthy, but also the love (sweetheart), inspiration (family); and peace of mind (people at work) that are served for us everyday.

Firsts

have enough to share --- from my first office day of 2009 to the first episode of year's quarterback and from the neo-life absences up to disclosing some facts of life and not.

Sleepy yet energetic me with ym status of "kelangan na ulit kumita este magtrabaho" started the first day of the first week of the year in the office. It was a lot like similar to my most ordinary office days except for more pressure that is always part of it (hehe, what's new?). The call from the SGV auditor was one shock-attack making me recall backlogs before the Yuletide's vacation started. Next, my boss reminded me of the submission of the calendar of activities for Q1 2009. Then, i hurried beating the deadline for closing open items in the Helpdesk as my preparation for the quarterback. Lastly, the short meeting with the consultants that we need to do the homogeneous system copy come 3am of Jan.6.

And because I was still on a vacation-mode and the fact that there is nothing new about it. I accomplished not so many (hehehe, sabi ng wala ngang pinagbago e).

That same day was my pal's 25th bday. Happy belated birthday pards! His name is Melchor. Ang walang kasing cool-bait-kulit (kulit, btw, is the combination of being cool and mabait) kong all-time kaibigan. The unthoughtful me failed to send any greetings for him. hay, sorry. Nakaka-guilty tuloy.

To continue, I saw myself waking up 1am of January 6 fixing myself for the 3am activity. I hate seeing myself in those kinds of situation as I fight against the little drama. Good thing, my travel was okay and that the procedures for the activity went smooth. Fastforward, i spotted myself very attentive seeing powerpoint slides. I have seen San Francisco in a minute, explained the system activities during the holidays, joined discussions and some laughs, and informed the very important person of my life. The whole q-back was okay, at least for me. hehe, may mga napagalitan nga lang. hehehe

My neopets account wasn't graced with a simple visit, not even a glimpse. Very occupied, really! This is a first for the year! hehehe, addict eh?

Below are my great finds during my random will to search:

1. Wikipedia in Pangasinensi language. Its homepage is located here.

2. When I googled my complete name including the middle name, the results were perfectly related to me. Top results include my inclusion in the DOST scholars' database and the webapps in my college, and some friendster links.

3. Thanks to my office-mate for this one. There really exist a business, that i guess will benefit people who are alone, old enough, and/or just lazy. To know what it is, visit here.

Well, that's it for me today! Did I say, i had enough to share?

Year of the Ox

or me, there is nothing wrong if you believe in zodiacs and horoscopes. When I googled my horoscope for 2009, here is what i got:

Dear Libra in 2009 year of the Ox, positive changes in your personal life will take place. The trust in each other in existing relationships during 2009 will be dramatically strengthened. In conformity with 2009 horoscope, your feelings in existing relationships will become stronger. Anyway, this year it is necessary to add some spice into your romance life, otherwise you or your partner may develop the desire to find romance and adventure elsewhere. At the same time, amorousness strengthens. Single Libras during the 2009 year of the Ox could start a serious relationship, which will be based on the principles of mutual understanding and trust. No need to say those reciprocal sympathetic relationships for you throughout the 2009 year will be the most significant of all the other components of the relationship.

If at the beginning of the 2009 year of the Ox Libra already have long-standing personal relationships, then this 2009-year you should diversify them a bit, add twists, enigma, mystery and pleasant surprises. This is also an excellent year in order to conceive a child. The child born in 2009 by the parents (Libras) can be quite big, but is usually healthy and cheerful. According to Libra horoscope 2009, the birth of a child this year for the typical representatives of your zodiac sign will be a happy and joyous occasion!

You can also know about all the richness of your creative energy within this 2009 year of the Ox. This is a good time for self-expression and the use of your creative abilities in various fields.

As the 2009 year horoscope told us, the most unexpected changes could be expected in your work area and in professional activities during 2009. You would want more freedom and independence, and therefore it is possible that you would change your job to work with a flexible or free schedule.

My reactions:
  1. First, i want to thank this site for the very optimistic predictions.
  2. My feelings in existing relationship will become stronger if both parties will work on it. (right?)
  3. It is good to know that Libras like us will bear a cheerful child if we choose to. hmmmmm...
  4. More creativity this year? (I daresay, it might be.)
  5. With regards to the career, i see the signs as early as now. lol

Newest Venue

appy New Year! Today's already the 5th day of the year and here I am still wishing you all a great 2009. This is too late to even realize that yesterday was the Feast of Epiphany aka the Three Kings.

I will first introduce myself. My name is Rod and I'm from the Philippines. I am already a blogger since college. I deleted however my other blogs because i feel like it will be of no use. I am now working in one of the few utility companies here and I am part of its Information and Communications Technology department. A man, who, at this age, craves for more... more of what life could offer. An achiever yet unfulfilled.

This blog will serve as my simple diary, wherein i will be writing over anything...any topic of my interests. A venue of freeing my mind about my journey, adventures, and misadventures. A place for my random silliness and even for my neo-life dailies and events posts.

For now, let me just leave you the recap of my first 5 days of the 2009:

Jan. 1- Traveled back home with my sister from aunt's house where we welcomed ox's year. Collected the last prizes of the year 10's advent calendar. A night of evil ego.

Jan. 2
- Holiday. Backache. Stayed home and spent time eating and resting.

Jan. 3
- Moi as a Cook. I was compelled to do kitchen chores. It was fun.

Jan. 4
- Attended mass and shopped. 2009 JB Planners reminded me of Blogger.

Today
- The day has just started with a Newest Venue post and the birth of Fraldscenixs.

That's it for now. All the best for 2009! Cheers!
